It was with great sadness that I learned about Bob Edward’s decision to step down as host of NPR’s Morning Edition.r

It’s hard to believe that I’ve been listening to him for some 24 years now. It was the winter of 1980, living in a drafty old farmhouse in New Hamshire when I first started listening to him. I will greatly miss hearing his deep and rich voice coming in over the radio each and every weekday morning. Waking up at 6:30 to get the kids ready for school was that much easier with Bob Edward’s friendly voice coming through the speaker.
