Back in 1982 my friend Marv Foley set a pair of headphones over my ears and played me Northern Sky by Nick Drake. It was the most beautiful love song I’ve ever heard. Since that day nearly 22 years ago, I have been a total devotee of the stunning but fragile work of the British singer songwriter.

With only three recordings released during his short life, the Drake discography is small and very well documented. However, yesterday marked the release of a never before heard tune, one believed to be the last Drake recorded before his untimely death from an overdose of anti-depressants in November of 1974.

To mark the release of a the new compilation Made to Love Magic which contains the new tune, “Tow The Line”, the BBC Radio 2 has put together a program Lost Boy – In Search of Nick Drake presented by Brad Pitt.
