This morning the New York Mets announced plans for the new Mets Stadium planned for a 2009 opening.

Based on the facade of the beloved Ebbets field, the new ballpark marks the end of the terribly boring Shea Stadium. As the rest of baseball has replaced the horrid 60’s donut stadiums, Mets fans have patiently waited for our turn.
