Since I just registered my phone number with the new National Do Not Call Registry, I decided to put a post about it. However, in doing some reading before putting up this post, I came across thisr

According to the article, the following groups have been given exeptions.r

long-distance phone companies

airlinesr

banks and credit unions

r

insurance companies

r

charities

r

telephone surveyors

r

political organizations

r

and finally, any company that already has an existing business relationship with you

r

If you register today, the list won’t take effect for you until October 1st. It will be interesting to see how many calls are actually blocked.
